Basecoat still shiny

I shot some red spi base early this morning. It was the first time spraying with my new tekna copper gun. Got to get use to a real gun that actually puts out some paint. Anyway it came out nice and smooth ( no runs and no peel ). Only thing is that is shiny. I thought it should have a satin finish. Waited 45 minutes between coats. 3 coats and no tacky feel between coats. Its just under hood, trunk and inner fenders. Planning on shooting clear in the morning. Is this going to be ok and what did I do wrong? My guess is I put it on to heavy ( new gun and Im a rookie ).
Thanks, Dion

It will be fine, especially if left overnight before clear is applied. SPI intercoat also has somewhat of a shine and it's normal with some solid colors.

Thanks for the response. Makes me feel a little better. When I shot the 2nd coat I shot how I wanted it to look. I know thats what to do on the clear, how about the base?
Thanks, Dion

It is called resin rich and that makes it stronger, it is suppose to be that way.
