it looks cool but im still thinking if this Bed Tents & Chairs can be useful to us...

looks like a lot of wasted money to me. a good tent would be more comfortable and have more space. all the in bed stuff is a rip off.

If you wanted to go someplace, you would have to break it all down. Get a topper. At least if it rains you can climb into the bed to stay dry.

those bed campers never worked well. limited space and a pia to get in and out of. plus it is most likely over priced chinese junk anyway .

In the 90's I went windsurfing in the Columbia River Gorge most summer weekends . I saw darn near every conceviable camping set up known to man.
I specifically remember a weekend at 3 Mile Canyon.
3 Mile Canyon is not a campground, just a parking area and a boat launch. Signs are posted every 100 yards or so warning of rattle snakes.
On this particular weekend I was in a 19' class c minihome. (remember the rattle snakes)
There was a group from Cali that were tent camping.
One guy had a tent setup like the op has posted. Dont think it had as elaborate a fly set up but very similiar.
Another guy had a pup tent he had set up on the ground.
Over night it rained, the guys with the pickup bed tent had a swimming pool in his tent.
The guys on the ground were nice and dry, the gravel had provided good drainage. They were laughing their butts off at the friend with the pickup tent.
That day the wind was non existant, the river was glass.
Time to break camp and head towards the coast and find some wind.
The guys started breaking down their tent, packing up their sleeping bags, etc.
When they broke down the tent, one guy screamed like a litte girl, there was a 2 ft long rattler under the tent, LOL.

Now that was some funny shit, the guy with the pickup laying it on them about sleeping with snakes, the tent guy saying he was never coming here again.

Looks like a great idea to me. Glad someone finally found a good use for the small bed on one of those Chebby pick-ups. LOL

Looks pretty nice to me.
I've done a lot of sleeping in the bed of a truck on bird hunting trips, works real good, just make sure you cut a piece of plywood to fit the bed. Those ribs in the bed get miserable even with a foam pad.
I've got a fiberglass topper and what I like is I can get up and roll at daylight without having to worry about breaking camp.

It's a good idea if you were in an environment where you wanted to be off the ground for certain critters even rocks or mud.

If you think that's high, there's a lot of people who have tents on top of Jeep Wranglers via a rack system.

I have one and like it. I put an air mattress in back and sleep great. Never had a problem with rain. Sleeping in bear country, it makes me feel a little safer.
