Having a little trouble blending sliver base coat. I use Wanda or RM diamond and of course Euro clear the sliver I blend into the original paint just seams to be darker and looks bad after clear coat. Not just a color but most of the slivers. I use a wet bed of mid coat clear and slow reducer. Paint almost everyday........am I getting dumber! How are you guys blending color ( sliver ) thanks

When I am doing my blends I thin each blend pass the final pass will be very thin more reducer then color. With Dupont I thin with 150 (binder that's in the mix contains no color) and basemaker (reducer) 1st pass will have 50% more added to the original mix the next pass will have 25% more and if needed the final pass will have 25% more making the mix extremely transparent helping with the fade and also a little flick of the wrist on each blend pass helps.

Those lighter colors can be a real pain to blend I've had colors that you couldn't blend on itself, like putting a spritz of color on a spot to cover something, you have to coat the whole panel over cause it shows.

I would look into a base blender from your vender they should have something for ya just using extra reducer might not work well because you loose the body if that makes sense.

Also not knowing those products but with Dupont we use the powder pearls and can tint the blends with a white pearl that will help with dark side tones and not change the face (unless you go nuts with it) really helps with those silvers even if it's not in the mix anything goes when tinting. Also helps with color matching not just the blends but can be used in just the blends if needed.
