Can I prime (epoxy or 2k) over residual 3M dry guide coat?

Been reading, and getting a lot of mixed reviews. I have not read that anyone has necessarily had an issue with it. I wont cut any corners, so ill scuff it out with a Scotch-brite if needed but just curious.
Some people say they write with pencils on the body and prime over with no issue haha, Thought that was kinda funny. What do you guys do? Thanks

Most should sand off and the rest comes off with cleaning before priming. At least that's how it does with me.

When I started using the stuff I had the same question. Went on 3M's site and read the TDS which makes no mention of removing it prior to further application of material. I don't worry too much about it. I've never had any issue with leaving it. You can use a waterbased W&G remover and it will remove most of it if it bothers you.

yeah no sweat. its just graphite powder. 99.9% of it could be off anyway before you spray over it but its ok if you dont get it all.
