My dad had some old paint stuff buried in the garage. Gave these to me- looks like a couple old water oil separators? I would like to hook the larger Binks one up in my line pre Devilbiss QC3 to keep those expensive desiccant filters drier longer...
 
pretty sure that binks came with a cotton wound filter in the area between the thread and that nut. its not rocket science, just a washer on the bottom bigger than the ID of the cartridge you might be able to find and washers if its too short. These types are seriously good, get a nice drip from the bottom before the moisture just gets caught up in the air again.
 
I've got an old one made of mostly brass that is quite large and still works really well
