Chevelle doors on a Cutlass?

I'm in the process of restoring a 71 cutlass convertible. Door skins are available, but not door shells. Do you guys know if other A-body cars will work, for the door frame and just re-skin with an oldsmobile skin? I was thinking I could take a 71 chevelle door, cut off the skin, and install an oldsmobile skin?....any thoughts? or just find some real clean used doors, as they are not being made new...Thanks guys! Dan.

I think you would have to graft parts of the shell onto the Chevelle door to match the different contours of the Olds body. But it's likey that the inner shell is the same, for sure they are similar. I would not try it as I'm sure there are doors out there, even for a pretty good dollar different doors would probably be less expensive, depending on how you value your labor.

This place has doors, according to carpart.com. They are fairly close to you:

I have always liked the 70-72 Cutlass convertibles. Very classy styling to my eye. W-30 makes it even better
