not sure where to put this. I have a '72 Chevy c30 i am rebuilding, in the process of getting it to body work. my question is how does one clean inside the outer and inner bed sides? ( not the inside of the bed (that's wood) the actual sides them selfs.)what product should i use for rust prevention/ coating? is there a cost friendly 360 degree spray system to use? ( it would need to be approx. 3' long) The only solution i can come up with is get a wire wheel on a 24-36" extension and go to town, thoughts? also i know i can drill out the spot welds and split them apart, not something i have the room and want to do. any and all suggestions are appreciated, i just want to get it to the filler stage so i can get it put on the truck!

It depends on what your expectations are for level of restoration/refurbishment, how deep your pockets are, what level of tools/space equipment you have, how much time you have .................... If it were me..................I'd first get an inexpensive borescope and see what is up inside the space between the inner and outer panels.

If what you have appears to be still clinging and well attached primer or paint of some kind, after 51 years why would it become a problem now with needing to be wire wheeled off. You could use a multitude of preservation products in that case be it cavity wax, moisture cure urethane poured in, or similar. You may find a lot of cancer in the wheel wells not exposed yet on the outside. That's cut out and patch.

Never even thought about a borescope, thanks! From what I could see with a light and mirror it's in pretty good shape but has surface rust and spotty undercoating/ vibration foam like substance. I'm not looking to get too deep as I work out of a single bay garage and only a couple years experience of body work. Definitely wont be a show truck but a good 20ft truck.
