Compressor Pump Question

So I just got my compressor last night and I'm not sure if I've created my first problem with it or not. It was on a pallet when I picked it up and when I brought it home it we had to lean it up against the 5th wheel hitch in my father in laws truck. It was so top heavy we couldn't secure it well enough so it was placed at a about a 30 degree angle. The problem is the oil leaked out. It appears the oil mainly leaked from the fill tube but I'm not sure if any leaked into the cylinders. I haven't pulled the filter off yet but is it a big deal if some oil got in the cylinders? Should I pull the head to clean if so or should I just leave it upright and hope it leaks back? I'm not sure how tight the tolerances are or the amount of rings in these types of pumps. Any thoughts?

just let it sit up straight overnight. should be no big deal. try slowly turning the flywheel to see if you can get one revolution on it. if so your fine and just fire it up

At any rate you can't hydrolock most compressors, the valve design won't allow it. Worst that happens is some oil gets pumped into the tank, which is going to happen in small amounts anyway.
