Does the same 7 day window apply to a sealer?

After sanding I've got some bare metal. It may be a few days before I can paint. Does the 7 day recoat window apply when SPI epoxy is used as a sealer?

Also, I've seen reduction suggestions from little to 1:1:1. Any argument there?

yes the recoat window applies. 1:1:1 is fine. i usually reduce 1/2 - 1 part. if your shooting it as a sealer then it should be sprayed like its your first coat of base. spray it, let flash off 10-30 minutes or until it dries dull and put your base right on it.
