anyone remember the release date on dplf ? i know it has been a good 10 years since i saw any dp90 here .
 
Man it has been a long time,pretty sure it was around 99-2001.I was doing a project late in 2001 and the customer supplied epoxy and k38,I was suprised see dplf as I had never heard of it at that time.I called the supplier and he told me the regular dp's were no more.The old fashoined dp's were great
 
I can't swear to it but I thought more around early 90'2 as the lead mandate was sometime in 80's but like the lacquer a lot of inventory was stock piled before the law took effect, so like lead lacquer , it was still floating around in early 2000's.
 
in a discussion about storing outside in epoxy . one says he uses dp all the time and it will last outside . now i liked dp but it would not last outside. dplf wont last inside . one saying spi faded in less than 2 years . oh how i love this crap. but i do remember the dplf in the mid 90's so i doubt anyone is still buying dp regular .
 
talked with an old ppg rep. dplf started 93. seems about right. is no better than sealer 70 imo . but i can tell them good luck with it setting outside all winter .
