I thought I would pass along a tip on how to measure out small quantities of primer.

I often only mix 2 ounces of primer and have a simple way of measuring it.

I use SOLO paper cups, the kind that nuts and mints are placed in at a party.

I bought a sleeve of 1 ounce and a sleeve of 2 ounce cups at a grocery supply.

For SPI epoxy the mix is 1:1, so I either mix up 1 ounce of each by filling two 1 ounce cups or 2 of the 2 ounce cups.

I just toss the cups out after one use.

If I wanted 8 ounces of mixed paint I will use a total of 4 of the 2 ounce cups, filling each , then pouring into a mixing cup.

tip: if you crush the paper cup when pouring the contents out you will get a fair bit more out it.

On the same note. I also mix up small quantities all the time and I buy plastic graduated medicine cups. They come in boxes of 6k for like 35 bucks. I can mix just a little or a fair bit and keep the ratios right on (i.e. euro clear etc)

Jim C. YOU are the MaN! dang, everything you write is just gold! Great resource!

no problem at all. you can buy medicine cups in sleeves of 100 on ebay for a couple few dollars.

I use the medicine cups too, but for larger qty's I
like a 4oz shot glass, that I reuse.
they're at most liquor stores and have lot's of different
graduations on them for mixing small quantities.
