I've been doing this paint stuff for awhile and here in the past few years the cost of Clearcoat has definatly impacted the jobs that can be landed or not.. I don't hand out compliments very often, especially on Clearcoat (only after using it for years ). however, After using SPI products since January , Universal Clear.
Just this passed week I took on a job I would usually pass or get laughed at when quoted. A quad cab dually. Ya, two tone at that..here's the compliment..

I took on the job because the cost of SPI clearcoat. Euro, was very reasonable. Also after using it for the first time I am totally impressed with how it sprayed, how it flowed ect. Great job SPI.. You have definatly changed the dynamics of Clearcoat vs Quality vs Price... Keep doing what your doing..

Nice job you did there. Barry has done a very special thing by developing his product line. He and his crew do one hell of a job.

Thank you Dale, two things we pride our selves on is unlike other companies we don't change our products every year to add to bottom line.
The second thing is we never stop trying to improve every product we have and all the chemical suppliers know, I want to see any new additive that may come out if it will improve what is out on market now. They love this because when a company invests in a new product, they want it moved to recoup their investment, many have told me it can take years to even get a major to look at it but I listen to their BS and start testing right away, most results, prove their BS wrong but just recently one little additive, used at appox 6 grams per 3200lbs hit a grand-slam in testing, so I have a drum on order. Drum is about $9500, so you could guess what I would have gone through if we had a bean counter here and since I'm first to order the drum will ship about the 20th (not ready)
As long as I'm around, I assure you I will never stop trying to improve.
