exceeding recoat window

I will be exceeding the 24 hour recoat window for intercoat clear on a two-tone job I am doing. Would a light scuff with a gray Scotch-brite be sufficient for adhesion or do I need another plan? Thanks

barrys paint seems to have a longer recoat window. what the longest you would wait to clear?

Like Jim pointed out no problem.

Yes even if you have doubts the gray scuff pad is fine.

Intercoat open time should be many weeks in a controlled sstting but here again only takes a second to hit with a scuff pad.

Is this with activated Intercoat?

there are alot of variables with this like amt of activator you are adding. if i apply intercoat and plan on putting anything on it i do always scuff with a scotchbrite. as barry said, only takes a second and while base might stick to it without the scuffing, the adhesion is only better if you do it.
