Fiberglass repair and epoxy question

I have the rough filling with duraglass completed. Before applying the finishing skim coat would it be a good idea to spray some epoxy for better adhesion with the filler? The hood has been previously painted in case it makes a difference. Thanks, Jon.

You could go either way here but not going back-wards at all using the skim-coat over the Duraglass.

Great thanks, based on how the polyester fillers bond with epoxy I just wanted to make sure.

Both of those fillers are polyesters. There isnt a reason to put epoxy between those two products

I would use your skim coat straight over top of your duraglass.. Once you get all your worked feathered out, then you could seal the hood with epoxy or just the repair/blend area.. Your choice here.. I dunno if you are painting the entire hood or if you are blending..

Food for thought
