Filler over epoxy

D

DoubleNickel

I just read that filler/body work should be done within 7 days after applying epoxy. Well it's too late now, I sprayed epoxy over 4 weeks ago, scuffed with 180 then applied filler. Is this going to cause trouble down the road? I can't believe the filler wont adhere to scuffed spi epoxy even if its fully cured. Please tell me I'm good to go.

sanded you are good to go. remember you can always scuff a panel and shoot a coat of epoxy for adhesion . many that epoxy to protect over time do this .

Filler you are good to go, as shine said. Now if you were sanding for paint, best to apply a reduced coat of epoxy as a sealer...let flash then proceed with paint for best adhesion.

It'll be fine, you'll get even more adhesion if it's done within the first week but as long as there was sandscratches in the cured epoxy the filler will grip good.
