Final sanding, buffer selection, pads, compounds, and Information Overload….

Guess who had the biggest display at SEMA.
Harbor Freight. Seriously . . .
Clearly trying to move up the food chain and improve image.
Massive displays of really nice tools.
And crowded.

Yeah, they have definitely been working hard on changing their image the past few years. I have no doubt that a lot of their stuff is manufactured alongside some of the name brands and receive a different color and label. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from them over the years even though I tend to be a bit of tool snob and spend more than necessary when far cheaper would have been fine for the limited use some of them will receive. I should probably buy the HF buffer but will probably find a way to justify the Flex. ;)

Are you guys using the steamed or unsteamed pads from LC? Unsteamed have a lot of blow off according to the site

Flex is really nice. If you can afford it, go for it. :) Treat it well and it will last for many many years.

not sure what all that means. what i can tell you is that those pads i have the # for above dont really shed a ton. a little when new but nothing like some others i have used over the years.

None of mine shed a ton either. Lake country extra cut low lint, and the blue hybrid wool. I also use some types wool, and buff n shine wool. None of them shed much…minimal.

Who do you usually order from?
I’ve been ordering lately from Detailed Image. They’re about 1.5 hours from me. Quick shipping and good packaging, never had any problems. I usually order when I have a coupon or there is sales. Which they always seem to have some sort of sale. I’ve also ordered from 3d direct, auto forge, Amazon, etc. I like to support the smaller guys but I have to support my wallet as well.
