It's a slow process...

Am I wasting your time and mine, as well as products?
I am not able to get much done all at once, I have pulled the front clip off and cleaned to good metal and epoxyed with SPI, Then I put them aside while I work on the body and interior of the car as it is still coming apart. I dont think this project will see paint for months maybe even a year!

Here are my questions...
Will the items I epoxy primed start degrading while sitting? Can I 2k over them in a year? can I still do peice work like this or am I in trouble already?
This is a hobby when life or the wife dont have other plans for me!

Actually coating your bare metal in epoxy is the best way to keep it IMHO. It won't rust and if kept inside will last for years.
Let them sit until you are ready to paint and then scuff and spray another coat of epoxy. Wait at least an hour and then shoot your 2k primer, etc.

I agree with everything coronet said. Dont stress about epoxy sitting one bit. This work takes time, a whole lot of time.

Thanks! Wiring harness was very brittle. It was eliminated today when the dash came out of the 54. So you can see it will be a while before paint!

Awesome. I have been wondering the same thing. Some days it seems my project will never be done. :)
