I just sprayed some epoxy to spot in some areas with some filler work. It was at about 3-4 o'clock I had induced for about 3-4 hours and sprayed 2 medium coats in the areas. Just wondering if I would be able to shoot ss tomorrow at noon or so or if I should give it an extra day. It was about 65 out when I sprayed and I'd say the temps in my area will he in the 40 area overnight. I let the car set in the sun until dark and it'll go back out first thing in the morning. Thanks for the help.

I am a total newb with this stuff, but I have read that SPI (probably and primer) is temp sensitive. You might wanna do some QUICK reading before letting that stuff cool that much. I sprayed some epoxy at 1 pm today. It's gonna be 50 here tonight. I am leaving halogen lights on the area all night. I have read horror stories of paint failure due to temp issues.

According to the tech sheet for SPI epoxy (you may already know this) "Polyester primers:
When using a polyester type primer always let the epoxy sit for at least 24 hours, while
48 hours would even be a better bet."
The big question is was the epoxy able to set up sitting in the sun for 3 or 4 hours. Obviously direct sun would heat up horizontal panels nicely but verticals panels may not have been in sun (unless you turned it around). I try to keep the sprayed panels at 70 degrees for a minimum of 4 hours (usually more than that). At this point I would wait the 48 hours as tech sheet states and test sand it in various spots to make sure it has dried.

Sounds good guys. Still plumbing the furnace in the garage to stay warm. WL take tomorrow and do some insulation I suppose. I'd rather wait a day then have a failure.

40 degrees is to cold for epoxy, it can go dormant below 60* and stop curing. Polyester primers are also really temperature sensitive. Get some heat going or you're going to have problems.

Will do. I guess I was wrong 55 is the low the next couple of days. But plan on having the furnace running in the garage in the next couple of days. Thanks for the help guys.
