Lacquer Clear where to get

Very strange but in the last month I've had two people ask where they could buy lacquer clear.
Well, today one of my shops that only does lacquer called for advice and I asked him where he gets his.
He said he gave the PPG jobber a month's notice and he orders it on his next order but can't get anymore.
So his friend who does some lacquer work found Marhyde has it in quarts and gallons.
So any jobber can order from National Oak
Or any other PBE Warehouse.

I think now I need to go to confession tonight.

The last lacquer clear I found from Oak was the BSP300 from Dupli-Color. It was very thin. It is not stocked at any of the warehouses that I can see. I find no Marhyde lacquer. Do you have a item number? The only other one I find is GreenTech, but it is also "out of stock" everywhere. I had a gallon of S/W that I gave to a shop that needed some. That's the last I came across.

There is always this - https://www.ebay.com/itm/3835923357...W5p8N6dIp8PWFxXVLqx8Vgl5GV|tkp:Bk9SR_666ZT_Yg

I thought the sandal foots banned the stuff. Used to be ordinary everyday item long time ago....yea, yea I know I'm old.
I can see where some restorers might want to go the lacquer route.

Never really banned, just EPA regulated and taxed to the point that it may as well be banned. Plus the 2K urethanes are much better. Now it's mostly used in some industrial & craft applications.... and India

Mar-Hyde got bought out by 3M some years ago. I haven't seen Mar-Hyde acrylic lacquer clear in many many years. No mention of it in their catalog either. Maybe it's a special order type deal?
