Curious if you anybody does/did/know somebody who was a sales rep for LKQ pbe?

What was sales incentive structure like?

Any tips or words of advice?

I have a friend that been with them since COVID started, no comment as I'm sure
Every situation is different.

They did not get that big by being idiots, so
Check it out good and see if for you or not.

We were acquired by LKQ and not details but we are told we will be moving to LKQ PBE sales plan and was thinking somebody could tell me what it looked like.

Just trying get information first ha ha!

The company I worked for got bought out by them 8 years ago, I went out on my own and started my own parts & supply company. Most of the people that stayed though are still there and seem to like working for them. I know no details about any of the benefits.

All I know is that the one local to me in Greensboro NC is run pretty well. They deliver every day, drivers are friendly, they never make mistakes with their orders. Returns are easy and when we would get something damaged, drivers were able to discount it on the spot. When I was in collision I would deal with one sales guy exclusively. He was always helpful.

i have to second on what renew and chris said. lkq came into town here and alot of the sales people from the other jobbers around left and went to work for them. everyone i ever dealt with are still there 8 years later. always great service and everyone always seems pleasant. cant imagine if they were miserable to work for that any of them would stay.

Interesting responses, I buy parts occasionally from LKQ but not much PBE. Their reps have only made half hearted attempts to get my business. Maybe I'm too small for them to care about, a couple thou a month in sales ain't what it used to be.

Same as Crash Parts only and I still perfer to deal with local salvage yards on used parts. Keystone / Lkq phone rep very nice he has been with them for years

They had a paint place here and a couple more in upstate SC. Called to verify their hours as it had been a while since I'd bought anything from them and the phone rang into the LKQ office in Greenville SC. The man there said they'd decided to get out of the paint business a while back. Surprised me since the paint store here had no indication on the paperwork, etc that it was owned by LKQ, and because their store here appeared to do a ton of business.

Keystone bought the paint store my work had used for 20+ years. We work on contracts so it goes out for bid every 3-4 years. Once they took over they did not bother to bid so we don't use them anymore. That was around 8 years ago.
