Senile Old Fart

I am interested to know if the downdraft booth(s) you are or have used had an inlet fan, or an outlet fan or both.
Also do you know at what static pressure the booth was kept at?

Thanks :)

they have both. every where I have worked the booths set between .2 and .3 positive pressure on the gauge. some booths the presures are controlled manually with dampers. computer controlled booths usually have vairable speed fan motors

Thanks! Yes freq drives and a controller would be great, but sure not in my budget, lol. Manual dampners are more my budget.

Another question, do you know if the inlet and outlet were zoned of a commom plenum?
I am thinking of doing a zoned plenum setup, maybre not needed?

they were seperated. we had furnace mounted outside that was ducted through the wall to an air plenum that ran the length of the top of the booth. it was about 4 feet wide, 30 inches tall, and 25 feet long. the ceiling of our booth had a roll of filters 4 feet wide running length wise stoping about 18 inches from each end wall. our booths were 26 feetlong. the exhaust ducted straight up through the roof.
