Figured I'd write an update this morning...
Everything has been cut to 3000. Doors, quarters, jambs, filler panel, fenders and fender extentions. Except for the top of one fender...
I was on the last fender and it appears I cut through in a small area on top of the fender...Noticed the area when I was on the 2000 stage and stopped on the top of the fender.
It appears I went through to the 1st coats of clear, not the base, area is about a 1/2 dollar in size. I put some water on it and it didn't shed it. I then took some compound and hit that area by hand and it cleaned up ok.
Am I going to have issues down the road with it coming back on me? I've read recently that the area should be shot with base and cleared again...
If so, can I shoot just the top of the fender. Was thinking I'd back tap it along the top outside edge if I did need to reshoot it...or just say the heck with it and reshoot the base in that area and clear all the fender. Putting it back out in the sun this morning and see what it looks like.
Here's a few pics.
Thanks again for the help
John
