Opinions needed

Starting a new build tonight. Debating on what clear to use. I am most familiar with the UV. This will be a race car 90% of the time, but it needs to stay nice and look good in the pits.

Car will be a GM silver with some striping that will have to be sanded and re-cleared to bury.

I have sprayed the euro 5100 on a some small projects but not on an overall. I am looking to try something new and see what kind of damage I can do with some of the other SPI products.! I spray in a garage.

Any opinions? 20120417_214901.jpg

I have only shot HS and now MS. I liked both. Been thinking about trying some Universal after reading the reviews.

Ill probably stick to what I know and try the other clears on smaller jobs to get used to them.

Good plan!

Be it me to have opinion. I would give the euro 5100 with the very slow a try. I been using more and more of the euro clear and just like the way it sets up little harder.I've used plently of ms and universal and they both have worked great for me but seeing that ms is on its way out I'm looking at options to use. Been doing some euro on some resto stuff and it's been working great for me.my 2 cents. Joe

OJ,

It is a good thing you use SPI products. As fast as the cars you paint are, off-brand paint would probably peel off due to the acceleration and be left laying like a wrinkled up tarp on the starting line.
