Sprayed some reduced epoxy today in anticipation of spraying base this afternoon. Well, I got a few runs and some orange peel. I need to fix these. I gotta go back to work tomorrow and the weather is going to get cold for a few days. I wont be able to spray base for about a week now. (or more). Should I let the epoxy dry and just wet sand then shoot base in a week or so ? or should I wet sand, spray another sealer coat, then shoot the base ?
Also, I think I messed up by using the HF purple for the seal coat. Looks like the manual recommends using your good gun for this. My un-reduced shoots with HF gun have been fine. No real issues. This reduced shoot seems not as nice, and had the problems discussed.

Didn't reduce much, right about 5%. Thanks. I'll let it dry and when the weather gets more favorable I'll sand and shoot again with the good gun. Does reducing it make it that much more sensitive to the gun ?

Reducing it generally makes it easier to spray, maybe you just got used to spraying at the higher viscosity/lower reduction.

Reducing makes the material less sensitive to application error, but since it is thinner it should be shot through a 1.4 or smaller and will need some fluid and air adjustment to suit your technique.
