Pine sapp on paint.

Can I use waterborne wax and grease remover to remove pine sapphire from the paint on my truck? I have used straight rubbing alcohol be but left a mark in the paint. Someone told me do that many years ago. Opinions welcome.
 
Should not be a problem, with the above ideas mentioned and sometimes nothing is better then Dawn and warm water but I have seen a few where left under a tree for a few years and nothing wanted to take it off.
 
trick is hot water. cold water will make it gel harder. dawn and HOT water will soften it and remove it.

biodegradable = soap and water ( bugs )

any petroleum base = solvent ( road tar )
 
I tried soaking rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and putting it on the spot and leaving it on it over night and it came right off
