Pitted pot metal repair and priming

I've searched and read the threads about priming chrome, so 180 grit before epoxy is the plan. I've got some interior, and maybe some exterior chromed pot metal parts that I want to use the Alsa chrome FX system on. What would be the recommended way to repair the pits? Bondo, JB Weld, or epoxy? Alsa says they're system would be happy over an epoxy primer, I'd like to get good results and keep them nice for a while. Anybody do this before? Thanks, Bob C

I have only had to do this once, so better advice may come.
I scuffed with 180, laid two coats of epoxy and then did a thin coat of Dolphin glaze where I needed it, 2k primer and worked good.
Here again this was a one time deal.

Make sure to get the corrosion out of the pits if you want it to last. Blast them with a fine abrasive, epoxy, filler, epoxy, would work

Perfect! I need to call Barry when I get home and order some epoxy primer, the stuff I have is pretty thick. I sanded the horn ring yesterday, it's going to come out nice I think. Thanks guys,
Bob C
