This could be yours that you gave away. I understand the attachment men get with regards to cars and tools. Let me use it for the project I'm working on and I'll let you buy it back in better condition than the one you gave away.

Currently under restoration. Sprayed prepped pieces today with SPI epoxy. You can pick the finished color or, I'll do it.
No I gave it to my favorite customer who has all the SPI black single stage builds. He has bigger guns than me. :) He returned the favor and gave me a cool little combination mill and lathe… :)
 
This is my previous barn I had built in 2000 to house my Pete and up to a 53' wagon. Doors are 12X14 and sides are 55' long. I built it into a hillside, as my 450 ft deep lot rose continuously from the road to the back marker.
I don't have any of the build pics, or of it empty, as they are on negatives. It looked HUGE at the time, but I did manage to fill it up to overflowing. I did keep the finished bay open for the truck, especially in the winter, but after I sold that in 2013, there was no way I was ever going to get a semi in there again.. LOL
First pic was the shop, second and third are the cold storage "trailer" side.

We moved 4 years ago.... took 1 day to move all the major stuff out of the house..... 3 WEEKS to empty that pole barn. That was working 10-14 hrs/7 days a week. The place we moved to had a 25X45 pole building shell. MOST of what I removed from the old place ended up in a 12X25 storage locker for 2 years.
The new shed had sliding barn doors that were bent up from the previous 20 years and didn't "slide" worth a damn. The PO had built an 8' deep work shop/sauna in the back. It does have a concrete floor with a drain and 240v, 100 amp service. I wanted an overhead door and had a couple contractors come out to give me an estimate and when I said I wanted a 12 ft high door, they said, you can't do that. I asked the second guy why and he informed me that the track system needs 12" about the door...doh... hadn't thought of that so..... In the process of preparing the building for a ceiling and insulation, I built more partial trusses and built a cove in the center, where the door was and had a 12' door installed... ;) We moved in, in Sept, 2019 and then all hell broke loose the next year, as we all know. My wife got to work from home so when she could get away during the day for a while, she and I spent the summer insulating the walls and building the ceiling and blew in 24" of insulation. We, also, installed the indirect heater, like I had in my previous shop. Now I could work in there during the winters. 4th pic is my wife, she is the forklift driver, moving me around while I work. That forklift is a 1956 Tow-motor with a flat head Willy's, converted to propane and it is a manual transmission... I tried for 2 years to get a contractor to reface the front of the building to look decent after I removed and sold the sliding doors and rails. I gave up and we refaced it our selves last summer. Seeing as how I had a LOT more "stuff" than the 1 little building was going to hold, I had pole barn contractors out to the property before we even closed, as it was unoccupied. We signed a contract with a Wick contractor to put up a new 32X48 in the back yard. It was scheduled to start the end of Sept and that is about the time it started raining....and didn't stop for 4 WEEKS !!! The ground was too saturated to get the excavator back there to build the pad, so it kept getting pushed back. Finally in late October, we had a cold spell that put enough frost in the ground to get the pad ready and the third week of November, the crew of 2 showed up at 7am and were waiting for the truck bringing the material. While he was bringing the material up to the site, they had strings set up and were drilling the holes for the poles. Next pic was lunch time for them and the 4th pic is end of day ONE !! I couldn't believe it. I thought it would take 2 people a week to get this up. We had a light snow overnight before the previous day and true to nature, it turned cold the next day, but they were here at 7 am again, putting up the trusses. They had some cool attachments for their skid steer for all of this work. 6th pic is end of day 2. Day 3, was a Friday and one guy left at noon for the deer season opener on Saturday. They did all the trim work and put the roof on. The other guy started on the siding but didn't quite finish it. He came back for 4 hours on Saturday, so if the they had both worked on it all day Friday, it would have been done...in 3 freaking' days with only 2 people !!
Forgot to add, that building has 13" sidewalls for a 12X12 overhead door..;)

The summer of 2020, we had the back half of the new shed put in concrete, for the lifts, and an apron for the door. The CFO was concerned about all the previous expenditures of moving, the new building and the conversion of the existing shell into a year round, working shop. After she saw how much nicer the concrete was to move stuff around on, the next year she approved a motion to have the front half done, hence the 2 year rental locker. By the time I had everything home from the locker and my friends pole building, it was already looking full. So the Fall of 2022, I built a 12X16 garage for all the lawn care equipment and yard tools, etc. I have since been told, I'm done adding more "garage" space for my "stuff". I've mentioned extending the 2 car attached to 3 but am met with a glare that says, "keep it up buster, and there won't be any night time fun for you for a long time".
I'm good with a 2 car... :)

Thats awesome! Thats all I’d need to be a happy man. Maybe attach a small studio apartment to the side or up above lol.
