Primer Confusion

Hello all, Im having some difficulty understanding all the different types of primers, just when I think I have it figured out, ill read something that confuses me. I understand Epoxy Primer and what it's used for, it's the primers between the Epoxy Primer and the Color Base that trip me up. SPI has three 2K Primers, regular, high build, and turbo. From reading the Tech Manual, I think I understand what they're used for and their different characteristics. Where I get confused is understanding the difference between 2K Primer and Polyester Primer. I read in the FAQ section that the High Build 2K is a "last resort before using Polyester Primer". Why do 2K Primers not require a sealer? Do Polyester Primers require a sealer? Please help

Polyester is sprayable filler. It's used to fill big imperfections like dings and body waves. The 2k are to give a uniform surface on the poly and fill sanding marks. Then, you would use the sealer.

Don't be like me and over analyze. Follow the Perfect Paint Job and spend your time dusting your trophies.

Thanks AAE, for taking the time to share your thoughts. Believe me, I want to keep things as simple as possible, I get confused easily. So, my question is, if the surface isn't to banged up, the Regular and the High build 2K Primers will suffice and I won't need a Polyester Primer?
