quality base??

U

underdog

Im lookimg for a new line of base.

Ive only used ppg deltron, but due to VOC in CA its no longer available.

What is everyone using?

Cost is not an issue, with the restorations I do.

I dont want low VOC CA junk.

Thoughts on Pro Spray?

I have used Pro Spray on a number of projects with no complaints.
My base of choice is RM Diamont for ease of spray and coverage.
I have a quart of Wanda base but have not had a chance to spray it yet. Too many other projects taking up my time right now. LOL

I use Standox Basislack solvent basecoat exclusively now. I don't think it is available in CA either. I took some down to my friend in Chatsworth to use on his El Camino, the painter loved it.

I'd try ProSpray but nobody around me sells it.

Didn't you try a few pro-spray colors crash?? Seems like you did years ago, but I could be confused,, happens easily!

Well it turned out that the Pro-Spray jobber nearest me (about 180mi away in SLC) was buddy-buddy with my Sherwin rep, and decided not to keep my interest in Pro-Spray confidential. I decided I didn't want to do business with somebody who couldn't keep their mouth shut. I am pretty content with Standox now.

If I was near you it would be pretty likely that I would be using Pro-Spray.

I used Diamont a lot and liked it except the cost. I tried Standox once and had problems. I have used Pro-Spray that last few years on all our projects unless Barry has the color (red)!
