Reduced epoxy build

Is it ok to reduce the epoxy to spot prime some bare spots about 3" in diameter? Will it still provide the same amount of corrosion protection? When is the earliest I can block sand the epoxy? I would like to dry sand if possible.

Over bare metal it is always best for corrosion protection, not to use reducer.

Sanding is best next day.
