Sanded through clear. Need touch up advice

Ok so i burned an edge on my hood. It is a pretty small area. Can I just touch it up with base and clear by applying it with like a small paint brush? I would hit it with clear to seal it, then base, then more clear. Does not have to look perfect. Would that be ok?

thanks

A pinstriping brush works good for touchup on edges but depending on color and how much area is damaged it may be a difficult task to pull off. No need to clear,base,clear-just base and let it setup for a few hours then clear. What color?

Its like the size of a pea. very small. But it is down to the primer. It was in a awkward place when it was sprayed so I do not think it go much material. I will get a decent brush for like model painting and just touch it up with that after the car is all buffed

Don't expect a high metallic color to touch up well at all. Darker metallics and pearls do OK, solid colors touch up very well in most instances.
