Solvent W&G Sprayer?

I bought a couple of spray bottles from the hardware store for my W&G removers, makes it easy to spray on and wipe off. The waterbased one works great, but the solvent based W&G removed seems to eat through the seals. My second bottle is starting to leak every spray.

For those of you who spray on and wipe off, what are you using?

USC makes a good spray bottle for solvents and waterborne 70305.jpg

I'll look into that. I figured the sprayers I bought would work since they are made for cleaning products, but I guess not! Does that sprayer hose it on or is it more of a light mist? Seems big!

It has a pump to increase pressure for spraying, it can spry in a fine mist or heavier if needed. Check you local automotive jobber in town.

ive had a bunch of those sprayers in the shop for years. they last forever. mine have hit the floor over and over and i never broke one or had the seals go yet. i have run everything through them too other than straight reducer. they are no bigger than a regular spray bottle

I have one similar to that that I got at home depot for like $7/$8 I haven't used many solvents in one (700 w&g remover) in the shop but have used them inside for wallpaper remover etc.

Sound great Jim, good to here some more experiences with it. Bomccorkle, that about what mine costs and it worked great with the waterborne, couldn't handle the solvent though :( Could have just been a bad one as well I suppose.

i love mine. i use spi solvent and pump it ten times and it sprays a perfect mist doesnt hose the product on

I've used the USC ones for years. One for 710 and one for 700. I break one about every two years by dropping them just right but I wouldn't use anything else.

I bought a similar to that one at a farm supply store for $3.95. Works great, far better than the trigger pump bottles.

I got a sprayer from a hvac supplier for coil cleaner for about $20 but I have only had water base cleaner in it. Its orange so I keep water base cleaner in it and solvent base in the white one from the paint supplier so I don't mix them up.

this is similiar to the one I bought at the farm supply on sale for 3.95

sof i have used those ones or onse like it as well. i am pretty much limited to just water in them for wetsanding. anything i have ever used in them thats not water seems to destroy them. i go through about 1/2 doz of them a year.

I've got the exact same USC pump sprayer. I've had it for at least 5 years and its still going. One from an auto paint store will be far better than what you purchase at Lowes or Home Depot. . Those sprayers are cheap and not designed to handle solvents like the one in the picture. .
They are worth every penny!!
