SPI Black Epoxy as a base coat?

I have a van project that I'd like to use a black finish on. If I get everything nice and level, can I use Black Epoxy primer as my color coat?

The things I'd wonder about are how it'd hold up to UV (fade etc) but being black... maybe it'd be ok? Curious if anyone knows or has experience with this.
thanks!

Yes, you can, but from my experience with the new SPI Hot Rod black I would recommend it in a heartbeat for an overall job like that. It's very forgiving and also easier to control the gloss level just by varying the amount of activator, which I found astonishing but it works as advertised!

I know of two cars this has been done on both at the same time about 5-7 years ago, so far ok BUT it is a crapshoot and a 100% gamble.

The black epoxy has a brown tint to it in my eye.

Yes it does, and clear makes it more pronounced.
I sprayed some stripes with it a couple years ago, still looks great.
