SPI Epoxy Reducer

I thought I had ordered everything I needed from SPI, but neglected to purchase reducer to use the epoxy primer as a sealer. I have a large quantity of motobase reducer for my base coat. Is that acceptable to use, or will it do bad things to the epoxy?

I may or may not have used other reducers in epoxy for small things. But I wouldn't seal an entire car, just to save $40.

If you can’t wait for shipping and have a ppg place local, just buy a quart of dt885. You’ll be safe.

As long as their basecoat reducer and their regular urethane reducer are the same thing. I don't know enough about Motobase to say. In the paint line I use, basecoat reducer is not for use in other products.

Not say you should or shouldn't but Barry has zero issue using SPI reducer in Motobase so it seems the reverse is likely true.. Call or Text Barry.
