**Note - I posted this earlier today in the Crash Repair section and just realized that that section is under the "Show and Tell" section and only has 23 threads so I'm re-posting here although the other one has a couple of pictures (I can't do them on this one since they are on a different computer)

Hello all. I haven't been on here for several months because after the 2 year process of getting my daughters Camaro done and on the road I was ready for a breather. She got her license about a week after the car was done (last May)and has been doing a great job with it. Turns a lot of heads and both the boys and girls are envious. Of course I have to take it to work once a month or so just to make sure everything is ok. Anyhow, she has had one little boo boo. She was showing a boy the engine and they apparently didn't get the hood back down properly because it flew up on her way home. Luckily she didn't get in an accident. However, one of the hood corners slightly dented the top of the fender and also put a 1" gouge down to bare metal. When the guy that stopped to help her put the hood back down, that same corner hit in a different spot and put a 3" scrape down to primer but without any dent. I have done a search but haven't found a step by step procedure on how to fix something like this. I would like to keep the fender on the car and clear only the damaged areas or slightly away from them. I used 5 coats of Prospray base (yellow solid) and everything else is SPI (epoxy, 2k primer and 4 coats of Universal Clear). As always, I appreciate the members on this forum willing to share their insight. Finally, if this has been covered in detail, please point me to it as I did a search and was unable to find anything from A-Z. I'm sure something like this would be helpful to many. Thanx again.
