sunmight finishing film

I cant find SUNMIGHT 1000, 1500 PSA Rolls for Blocking.........I dont undertand when You use
Finishing Discs and when you use LINEAR Blocks long blocking ???
you wont find psa rolls in those grits from anyone because they would just clog up if hand sanding. fine grits like that are not meant for blocking really. if you do it needs to be done wet and psa doesnt work on a wet block. your stuck wrapping wet/dry paper around a block.

You can get those grits as PSA rolls all the way up to 2500. I get 1000 rolls from Finishing Focus to block urethane wave.

Lizer what size blocks are you using for urethane wave?

My 70 Camaro has been based & cleared with SPI Universal Clear on 4/13/24
and sitting since. I am the owner and NOT the painter...........My Painter "Dan"
is asking me to buy 800, 1200 1500 rolls of 2.75 PSA wet paper.......to use
with the Linear Blocks.......I'm seeing the Super Fle Brand and Linear Brand...........

Also been reading here where Jim and others use Dry Discs to sand their clear

Is there ANY conclusion on how "best" to sand polish SPI Universal Clear............

Thanks if youd be willing to help

Looks great!
"Best" is pretty subjective. Lot's of ways to approach this.
Are you doing the work, or is Dan the painter doing it and he's just asking you to get the materials?

I think maybe telling your painter that you found a better way on the internet might not be a winning strategy. :D I would just let him do it the way he knows. What he has done so far looks outstanding…

Car looks great. I agree with everyone here that says to let him do it his way. I'm sure it will turn out fine. He has done great so far.
