tiny bubbles in clear

I'm getting these really small bubbles in different areas of my clear. Looks like fizz from alka seltzer, they're really close together so it causes a hazy/cloudy look. My guess is I sprayed it on too thick and didn't let it flash long enough? Fortunately I'm able to wet sand it out. Is this the proper procedure? Will these small bubbles cause problems down the road? Sucks because I thought I was done with this thing :p

Sounds like solvent pop but I'm surprised you can sand them out.
Must only be in the top coat then.
You need to slow it down, slower activator and reducer and
longer flash tiomes.
also,to much air flow across the surface can help cause that.

i did the same thing. my problem was laying it on too heavy, too close, and maybe a little too much air pressure. i do better with thinner multiple coats. what kind of gun? dont let clear sit in gun between coats.

Well today I was working on a spot that was probably the worst out of all and ended up going down to the base. Can I spot repair this or will I have strip the whole panel? The color is a solid Red in PPG Deltron.

Should be no problem fogging in some base over the sanded spot and either spotting in the clear or re-clearing the whole panel.

Just go easy on the first few coats of base over the sand through, so it don't wrinkle, 30 minutes between coats and do two medium coats.

I should have mentioned that its a dime sized spot, I checked the paper and noticed the color and stopped.
