Unscientific "blackest" black test

jeremy, if it is solid black, why wouldn't a person use SS. And PPG concept seems very black to me.
In a way I agree on that but you get real messy with black when you start wet sanding and buffing. Concept is good stuff.

shine, i have used the prospray ss black. its pretty nice stuff. not the best i have used but definately a premium product. the best would have to be glasurit 22 line. rm's uno is nice as well. i would say the prospray falls under those 2.

jim, you ever get to use sikkens autocryl 242 black before it was disontinued? Wonder how it compares to the glasurit. Seemed pretty deep to me...sikkens has a low voc ss now that is supposed to have the same black. haven't tried it though.

thanks jim . the prospray base shot much like ppg. but i don't do much custom work anymore so i will go ss from now on. i'm a little po's at myself and base coat right now.
will mostly be early vette work . i seem to attract black cars. i used glasurit back in the early 70's. could not even read the label but it was some quality stuff. the silver for the Mercedes was some of the best i ever shot. it would lay down nice and never dark spotted on me. of course this was lacquer then. i used r-m lacquers on anything else. i did a lot of centari black cars then.
