Vise grip c clamps

I'm in need of some of these c clamps. Irwin looks to be a really great tool, but they are expensive. I'm looking to buy at lest 10 of the 11 inch ones and a couple of the 24 ones. Also you can buy these with or without pads. There are some cheaper ones on eBay, but not sure if they are any good. These will be used for auto body sheet metal work.

I like the price of these. 5 with pads, 5 without. I don't do this for a living, but I don't like buying junk either.

I've got some off brands, and they work pretty well, my thing is I like to clamp pretty close to where I weld and I tag my clamps every now and then, I don't feel bad when I have to grind on cheapies....
 
Harbor Freight sells these clamps. Although the quality isn't as good as Irwin the price is a lot cheaper.

I bought a bunch from harbor freight and holding up well! I'm just a hobbyist working on my own junk.
 
Keep your eyes open on CL, local online ads and auctions, and eBay. Of all these, only about ten of them were bought new. The majority was bought at about 1/4 to 1/3 new retail. As long as you have a bit of patience, you can find some deals... And with welding, you can never have enough of them...

I'm kinda partial to quality tools, and Vise Grips are on that list. I have used some of the HF c-clamp versions at a buddy's shop and they had twisting issues. I personally wouldn't waste your time with those..
