Which filler over pits?

Hey guys,
I got my media blaster setup today and tested it on the front nose panel of my 64 GTO. With the crushed glass, it stripped the paint and rust with ease. There is some pitting and was wondering what filler is recommended after spraying the bare panel in epoxy? Appreciate the help

The very absolute best thing you can fill the pits with is SPI epoxy.

Whatever filler is my favorite at the moment. It used to be Marson Platinum but then that became insanely expensive so
Now it’s USC white gold.

Does the usc spread and sand like the marson does. Last can I bought of 1131 was around $80.00.
A can , not a gallon. Was about only 80% full.

Thought I was special. The one I got from Amazon was 80% full too. The one I got at the local place was not.

I think so. I don’t notice any difference.

My guess is they’re probably filling the cans by weight.

Thanks for all the replies. Was curious if everyone used regular filler or opted for a fiberglass reinforced filler.

You also have the metal fillers such as All Metal and Metal 2 Metal, etc. But maybe overkill for pits? I could see where epoxy would be a very solid repair. But your honestly probably just fine with you favorite high quality filler or glaze.

JB Weld honestly. It is epoxy base, and way better than polyester body filler.

I'd also consider used Ad tech p17. It is poly based, but very high heat resistant and almost like a plastic resin when cured.
