Which gun for base. Devilbiss finishline 4 or sata jet 90

I'm about to buy a devilbiss finishline 4 with 1.3 .......1.5 .....1.8 tips
My craftsman primer gun gave out in mid prime so I shot primer with a cheap siphon pot gun with a 1.4 tip un reduced:) just to finish up. I don't mind sanding

Naturally the finish on the high build ended up........dry......uneven. It covered though and will block fine

I am going to use spi epoxy reduced to sealer for the plastic bumpers with the 1.5
1.8 for the high build after dry block sanding the mess with another round of 180g on the metal panels then respray and dry sand that with 320 and either run sealer or go to 600 unsealed. The body is straight now but I want to make sure.

One question.....when block sanding.....I know if I hit metal or filler I stop. What if I hit epoxy primer. Should I still stop and recoat it with more high build. This is something I saw on a forum. I almost found it unnecessary, but it would stop me from going to metal.

Another question is the gun itself. The gun I have and have had forever is the conventional sata jet 90
It's been used a grand total to spray base and clear twice in ten years. Will the devilbiss gun be better than the old 90 with 1.3 for the base and 1.5 for the clear? I'm really good about cleaning immediately after each use. If anything else I would like to know this. The sata produces a ton of overspray and shoots really fast. Neither of which I need. I thought about getting another base gun. But I would like to stick to reasonably priced as just a hobbyist.

I'm shooting ppg base and spi clear

Or I could sell the sata. Looked polished new and still in the box. And buy 2 used guns. One for base and the other for primer

I don't know much of satas and I'm sure the other guys will chime in soon. But I got a used iwata lph 400 from Russ(satarules on here) and I LOVE it. Not much over spray and it lays some slick paint.

I use a finishline 4 with a 1.5 for primers (I dont shoot super high build primers)
I use another finishline 4 2.2 tip for slick sand.
I have a dedicated Sata NR2000 1.4 for sealer
Also have 2 other NR2000s I use one for base and one for clear.

My advice is to buy a lightly used Sata NR2000 or greater and have fun with it.

I use one gun for each process only because I don't like to clean guns to be used right away for something else, and well I'm OCD. LOL
