Wiping between primer coats

I'm in the middle of blocking some things with regular build 2K. Broke through to bare metal in some spots, so mixed up some epoxy and misted it on the bare metal spots only. Did a few light coats till it covered. Let it dry overnight, wiped the whole panel down with waterborne W&G, tacked, and sprayed the next few coats of 2K. I got some fisheyes in places..not bad..but they seemed to be on areas I had epoxied. Should I not be wiping down between coats, or just not wiping over the epoxy? Let the W&G dry for over an hour before spraying, but still had some fisheyes here and there. Didn't know if it was a compatibility problem or what. Oh..air lines are dry and using a water seperator and motorguard filter, so it shouldnt be contamination. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I don't know what caused your problem, fish eyes are usually from some kind of surface contamination.
I don't see a problem with wiping sanded surfaces with W&G, and 1 hour should be enough time for it to be evaporated unless it was used over something very porous or the air very humid. Maybe someone else here can offer some better ideas.

What kinda wipes do you use? I like clean fresh paper towels. I usually only lightly tack rag in your case. I see no need to wipe down with W&G Remover in your scenario. Esp if it has only sat inside the dry shop over night.
