Thx Don, what kind of sanding sponge should I get ? Thx again.I always seal with reduced epoxy. A quick denib with a sanding sponge before base if needed. 25% reduced I shoot sealer in the afternoon and base next morning.

Thank you Jim!dons method is great. another way to go about this is to spray the epoxy, wait 30-60 min, get your first coat of base on then you can denib the base then finish off the rest of the coats. the base will denib easier than fresh epoxy. once all your base is on then let sit a few hours or overnight and clear the next day. either way you do it, there isnt any need to fully sand out the epoxy before you put base on it assuming you got it to lay smooth and even with no cratering.
I use an 800 grit sponge. A quick swipe and the nib is gone. Something like theseThx Don, what kind of sanding sponge should I get ? Thx again.
