It means I am a dumbass for living here! What does that dash in front of the 33 mean?
Yes. Most of the winter when it's in the 20-30's you hardly know it's warmer. When it's -17 like yesterday morning it's toasty warm because it has to run more to keep everything heated. Watertemp in the floor is around 100 degrees but the floor is never that hot. I just took an infrared and it said 78 degrees floor temp with the thermostat set on 70 degrees. Is your shop floor heated with radiant hot water system in the slab?
Why the power companies didn't do that down here is a mystery. Millions of homes with no power for 3-4 days, while others (like me) never lost power. I still had a pipe bust in the garage that fed only an outdoor faucet, but feel very blessed, seeing what my neighbors are going through. We were quite lucky in North Texas. Power on/off in one hour cycles for four days so no broken pipes. Low temperature of -4. We have a good water supply. Others fared much worse.

Alot of questions and no so much answers. Everyone pointing fingers at each other. Much like insurance companies and wind storm insurance. It's not right. You got people on tv grand standing and hot doggin while some people are in 45 degree living rooms who have paid their bills on time for 50 years in the same house. Like my dad. The customers should put Centerpoint on notice. When the bill comes. Put them on a "rolling payment plan"Why the power companies didn't do that down here is a mystery. We have a small county wide electric coop that seems to have their act together. Over in Fort Worth and Dallas etc they did not fare so well with folks going without power for 3-4 days. Why the power companies didn't do that down here is a mystery. My wife said something about that earlier. We are on fixed rates. I wish someone would come ask me for that amount for electricity. I'd laugh so hard id get a herniaWe have a small county wide electric coop that seems to have their act together. I’m also seeing reports of folks getting huge electric bills because they had signed up with power resellers who didn’t have fixed rates. When the spot price of electricity shot up to $9000 from $50 their goose was cooked. Some are looking at $17000 electric bills. How does someone pay a $17000 electric bill?
