Finished the clearing today. This is going to be a drag car for a customer. Color is pb5, electric blue, off the new dodge trucks. really cool color.
I decided to use the 2.1 euro on this, considering its hardness compared to the universal that i hear everyone talk about...being a drag car and all. After using, i think i'm in love with it just as much as the universal!
IMO, it needs to be reduced for a good job. took me till the 3rd coat to get the reducer dialed in and speed...but on that last coat it was 4-1-1 very slow activator and reducer, and slammed it on. I think this clear is way more forgiving than the universal. Now i'll have 2 clears stocked on the shelf!
Also used wanda base on this, over spi black epoxy as a sealer 1-1-1. 3 coats and it matches the sikkens color variant chips. Stripped to bare metal, spi epoxy and turbo primer.
