1995 corvette house of kolor pearl repaint

Did some "redneck trading" on this one. Got a $1200 off road front bumper with a 10k pound winch for my Sierra and a FRESHLY BUILT thumping 355 SBC with $1800 of machine work for my Sonoma for the paint and labor on this...

it will be SPI undercoats, DBC OEM polo green metallic with black stripes/silver pinstripes on the hood/bumper, with the HOK in the SPI clear basecoat, with SPI 4000 over all of it. starting again on it tomorrow, got it prepped last week/

Is the pearl also going over the stripes? It's a good idea to activate the base and intercoat for good chip resistance.

one step ahead of ya bob! learned the hard way, or should i say soft way lol

customer's design on the stripes, not mine, but its what he wanted!!!


and got tired of fighting the wheel wells with tape so i used that super expensive spray mask crap. almost gotta mask it off to "spray mask" it off!!!!

Are you using the Bud as an accelerator or retarder? LOL Looks sweet!
 
nice!! i used to have one of those. i loved that car. was a 93 of course back then it was only 2 years old. i kept it for awhile then wanted to buy a house so i traded it in on a 4 banger ford ranger. man i was crying for weeks.
 
the bud light is an accelerator for the paint, retarder for me!

Nice job, doing the exact same vette and color for my neighbor as we speak.

Deal is he strips with 80, brings panel over and I epoxy, block and paint.
1/2 car is done and will finish up body shell after I get the 454 running in the vette, would have had running last night but I just assumed the new Torque converter would be right and like a dummy never checked the holes. so get engine in and had to pull back out and put the old converter back in.
