is this the wool pad everyone raves about?

Also I have 500 and 520 for cut and buff. Looking through the other polishing compounds there are 501 502 510 etc. would any of the others be recommended or needed in cut and buff?

Thank you. Veterans day. I want to share this 34 star flag. The plaque is dated 1865. It was in my grandfather's house long before I was born. It's now in my dad's house. One day it will be in my house. It has blood stains on it. Didn't mean to high jack. Let me go ordersome 3D!

That is the yellow pad I use. Works great.

I hope its okay to post this here without high jacking thread. Do you folks find the 500 hard to wipe clean after your pass?...Like it smudges, smears, and needs alot of wipes with microfiber?..Also, i seem to use way more cloths when removing this product, the 500.....Maybe im using too much product..If i try to extend the working time, i can feel more friction like it needs some lubricant; so this is when i stop and wipe panel portion....Ive used both wool pads and foam pads

Sounds like you are using too much compound. A few dots per section. I’ve never had trouble cleaning up, it’s usually gone when I am finished buffing.

Also if you’ve been using that much compound you need to wash your pads.

Chemical Guys pad lube is good stuff.

I’ve never used the 510. Anyone have a fair amount of experience with 500 and 510 to tell me and pros or cons? I hate it when companies make multiple products that are the “same” lol.

I understand the differences between the rest. They’re finer…polish, glaze, etc. but 500 and 510 both seem to be a heavy cut compound. Just curious if anyone had a preference and why. Thanks.

I found a video comparison for 500 and 510, just because I had no idea what the difference was.
Hmm, interesting. I've used the 510 (previously the 500) for about a year and haven't experienced what he demonstrated. I use it in all kinds of weather. The 520 is super oily.
