Ya he’s got some HRE wheels coming. It’s minitubbed so 12” wide rear wheel.Beautiful, those rear tires won't last to the end of the driveway.
Thanks Chris. I have you and the other pros on here to thank for these results. Without the advice I get here I wouldn’t be able to do the work I enjoy.Beautiful work there Don. Another show winner. I see you mentioning the Kindig colors again. Who are those through? Oh and it looks like you have a gorgeous place there as well.....and I'm jealous of your buildings too.
This information is gold. I tried using a da 1500 2000 3000 once and ended up with alot of pig tails. It was dura gold paper (probably very low end) and a Chinese da....I'm looking to upgrade papers and equipment before the next job. (Black, currently in the poly.primer stage)Eagle yellow 1000, 1200, 1500 all dry on a 3M DA. I replace the disc often. Used quite a few discs but I prefer dry sanding.
Trizact 3000 wet then Trizact 8000 wet also on a 3M DA
ACA 500 with a Presta black wool pad
Menzerna 3 in 1 on a hexlogic green pad
I did have to hand block out some wave on the doors with 600 and 800 on a hard block. I got a little carried away spraying the clear... :>)
This method is based on the shared experience of the pros on this site.

I get the Modern Classikk base online here:
It’s AkzoNobel base and the quality and coverage is quite good. I used SPI reducer.Modern Classikk by Dave Kindig

Love At First Sight It was years ago when you first saw it. It was missing its bumper, the taillight was broken, and it was completely covered in rust. But at that moment, you saw something that no one else could see, and you worked tirelessly to turn yourmodernclassikk.com
I am thinking of trying the Cha Ching silver on my 56 Cameo if I can get the fiberglass bedsides straight enough. It looks like it flops dark, almost black.

Expensive, yes, but I just paid over $225 for a pint of DBC. PS it covered like crap, but matched niceYikes! That's some expensive paint.
Where do you order it from? The web site shows it in the north east but there was no way to search it, like by zip code for example.I have had no problem with coverage as long as I stay away from the bargain basement brands - Shopline, Omni, etc.
Used ProSpray for a while and then went to Automotive Art Motobase LV for anything SPI doesn't produce. Excellent coverage, mixes 1:1 and about 2/3s the price. Sometimes I have to have it mixed to the manufacturer's paint code.
Covers in two coats generally but I am one of those 3 coats minimum type guys.
Yep. Delivers right to your door step.Motobase & SPI dealer - Chad's Paint & Auto
