adding to seam sealer

So the shop this was at did the seam sealer on the underside of my fiberglass hood. It does sand so I can get it to look decent however on the one side it's way low, would sanding it & applying another bead over it adhere properly? I believe it's urethane I can get that verified if need be. Thanks IMG_20150319_171625.jpg

If you are trying to get the seamed area smooth and even I would take the stuff out and use some dura-glass or some other type of fiberglass filler and fill the seam with it. Sand it and prime it and it will be nice and smooth and far better than seam sealer over fiberglass.

I was trying to avoid digging it all out but the more I looked at it I knew it would haunt me. It's out & duraglassed in. It did suck digging it out lol.

Good call taking it off, from the looks of it they didn't do any scuffing before it was applied to the bare gelcoat.

no it wasn't, good eye. it wasn't falling off though I started sanding some of it & that didn't disrupt the bond.
