Air grabber bubble & polyester glazing putty

I have an Air Grabber hood bubble for a 71 Satellite project that I'm repairing & repainting. I've used Shines suggestion and repaired all the cracks in the bubble with west system epoxy & "micro balloon" filler, sanded it all down, gave it a W & G wipedown then shot 2 coats of SPI epoxy. Now I need to do the filler & reshaping work and wondered which is a better filler to apply - Evercoat Polyester Glazing or Rage, I have both. I was going to use G2 sprayable filler but the can went bad.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks, evan

Depends on the depth of the fills. Sight unseen I would say use Rage for your first coat, then follow with glaze after the Rage is in 150-180 grit.

the west systems epoxy fills are just kind of rough pitting now, nothing too deep. I scuffed the epoxy with a red scotchbrite pad, I just wasn't too sure about the "brittleness" of Rage or filler like that vs. a glazing putty. I have an older bottle of Evercoat Metal glaze putty but thought I'd try the polyester glazing putty as it "seemed" more specific to fiberglass.

I'll post some pic's a little later of the overall repairs.

Thanks!

as promised a few pic's
